Discipline is one of the Protocol of Alignment. Jacob missed the first encounter with the angel but didnt miss the second one because he was disciplined. To be disicipline in the place of prayer, the word and fellowship with the brethen. 

The begining of usefulness is alignment. Sacrifice are to be paid in the place of alignment because it is not convinent. There is nothing we have acquired that will count on the day of alignmnent, it is only the touch of God that can make you align with him. Don’t run after things rather run after God, stay align with him and he will make things work out.
